Loving Life

I've been on a kick lately where I've been photographing things that bring me and the people that I love happiness: things that we love.

I wanted to share some of those moments and things with you!  Enjoy!

The story behind this is two-fold:  First of all, this was one of the most excellent double lattes I've ever had in my life.  The Crepe House in San Fransisco knocked it out of the park on that one.  Second, the lady that made it just happened to surprise me with the fact that she knew (or guessed) that I'm an aries.  Apparently I'm a ram all of the time, even when ordering my omlettes.

This was just a beautiful night shot from an amazing night out in San Fransisco with Big Mike.  Great weather.  Excellent company.  Gorgeous building.  Happiness abounds.

This one is for Big Mike.  Beer tasting at the fair is one of his favorite things to do and I find it fascinating because beer is honestly really pretty to me.  The colors.  The contrasts.  I'm kind of odd like that.

Sheesh, I love this kid.  Smiling.  Happy.  Active.  Chatty.  Active.  He's a great kid and he's calming my nerves about one day having one myself.  Not there yet, but perhaps he warms my heart to the idea.

These yahoos.  It's not really a "new" photo, but these three goof balls always bring a smile to my face.  Seeing them graduate together was one of my favorte memories of 2010, and one that will probably be one of my favorite memories for many years to come.

Great Photography Quote!!!

To me, photography is an art of observation. it's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... i've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.

Special thanks to GCD Studios for bringing this quote to my attention!

More Grads!!!

I had the pleasure of photographing 4 of the most amazing women on Friday afternoon at Cal Poly.  I am proud to say that these 4 ladies are not only my sisters, but they are amazing women and they are about to become college graduates!  Here's a little sneak peak at their group shots...but I won't be showing any of their individual shots until they get their copies this week.

These women really are beautiful, inside & out.  Enjoy!

More Devin!!!

I just can't get enough of this kid!  He's such a great little man and so fun to take photos of.  I can't help but keep bringing up more and more of his photos to play with and edit!

Here, I think of Devin posing.  In his mind he's thinking "Auntie KC, I've got this modeling thing down!"

This has got to be my favorite shot of the day.  No matter where we were or what we were doing, Devin kept looking to see where Rose was.  Seeing that she was close, he would run and climb and play.  Then she disappeared behind the jungle gym, and when he saw her face behind this wet bubble, he walked directly to it!  I absolutely love the bond between a mother and her son!

In case you didn't know...

In case you didn't know, green is actually my favorite color.  My second favorite color is blue, but I often find myself standing in front of the turquoise or blue-green colors just staring at them due to the fact that they are my two favorite colors combined!

Well side note.  Green is my favorite color, and one of my favorite blogs hosted a green photography competition.  I highly recommend you go check them out.

The Pioneer Woman - Green Photo Finalists

And in case you were wondering, I did enter into the competition.  I didn't make it very far.  Oh well!  You can check out my entry below!

Mr. Man at 9 Months

I had the distinct pleasure and honor of photographing Devin (and a little bit of Rose) for his 9 month pictures.  We very carefully planned the photo shoot in the morning and before his nap time, and we used all of that time!

Here's a couple of my favorites!
